I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers.
CLAUDE MONET
I do not think I have ever seen anything more beautiful
than the bluebell I have been looking at.
I know the beauty of our Lord by it.
GERARD MANLEY HOPKINS
I’ve been working on this intricate, wild bunch of irises today. (Where the word “bluebell” appears in the Gerard Manley Hopkins quote, I could insert “iris” ... or for that matter, just about any flower in creation!)
My favorite color of the moment is
Old Holland New Masters “King’s Blue Deep.”
So soft and pretty with the surrounding cool yellows.
Happy painting!

Okay so I have a suggestion! You could do an online class! I have taken a couple, but not with someone whose style is what I would like to emanate.
Most people have the class hidden from the public and a password to get into the class.
You would have to be able to have a video camera for demos. Most cameras have video in them. It could be like a two week course with a painting. Each day wouldn't have to be to long and but we could actually see you in real life and working!!
Okay so maybe you don't want to do this. . .but I bet you'd have a lot of takers. And you could make money to boot!
Okay so I am off. . .this is only a wish and something to think about! And the best thing is you could use the same material for several two week classes in a row.
Love your style and color palette!
How beautiful! I love the light and color in this.
"I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers." - I've never heard this quote before - it evokes both the beauty of flowers and the beauty of Monet's paintings in one go!
Hey Sherry, I love your enthusiasm! I've been looking into that ... I think my husband is going to help me set it up and do some editing. Hopefully I can give that a go in the not too distant future.
Laura Marie, thanks so much! It's still a work in progress but I'm working hard not to lose that feeling of spontaneous, fleeting light!
Hey I thought you'd find this interesting. . .On the list of paintings that sell, Dogs are #5.
