Happy New Year!

The LORD’S lovingkindness indeed never ceases,
For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.”
LAMENTATIONS 3:22-24

Untitled WORK IN PROGRESS

Here’s how our Andy is ringing in the new year.

This is my progress so far on my first painting of this great big beautiful hunk o’ dog. I’ve had so much fun this afternoon working on this, I kept thinking, what took me so long?

Seriously. It’s about time!

A great big thank you to all of you for your fellowship and encouragement
throughout the year, and best wishes to everyone for a wonderful 2012!

Happy Painting to all my fellow artists out there,
and as a very dear friend always used to say to me
(quoting a song from Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George):

Give us more to see!

Dear Karen, this is my first comment here but I've been following since oh...this spring? I want you to know how very much I love your blog! Between all the dogs (we have 3! 1+2 foster failures, hehe) and the Scripture verses and the gorgeous landscapes, it falls as one of my very most favorites to read. :) Thank you!

Thanks, Elizabeth, I was a little apprehensive about painting Andy (not sure why) but it’s coming along, I think ... we’ll see how it turns out!

Sara, thanks so much for your comment ... I'm glad you're enjoying it! Isn't it funny how foster dogs will just wriggle their way into your heart so you can't let them go? :)
