Arrangement in gray and white

Using the same setting and time of morning as my recent painting Dreaming in Color II, I was attempting to set up an interesting arrangement for the Daily Paintworks “Paint What You Paint With” Challenge. Hmmm ... I like this ... the light shining through the jar onto the desk top, the reflection of the paints in the glass --

Whatcha doin’ ?

Me: Excuse me, but I’m trying to make an arrangement here.
And it doesn’t include you.

I’m sorry, but a still-life arrangement without me
is like a day without sunshine.
Hey, why don’t you move that mug over here?

Ahhh, that’s better.

Now isn’t this more captivating than just a bunch of plain ol’ paints?

Me: I already did a painting with you and the paints.
Are you done?

Not quite ... wait a second, I’m getting an idea ... here we go ... get ready ...

THREE-D, COMIN’ ATCHA!

Now, THAT’S what I call interesting.

Hold on, I think someone’s calling me. The voice is familiar ...

I know I’ve heard it before ... I think it just might be ...
I mean, it sounds a lot like ... um ... oh, yeah ...

... the Sandman ... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ...

I promise not to pester you. I feel like one of those people who asks me all the same kind of questions I am asking you. . .but in my case it's about children's art. What kind of paints do you use.

Hi, Elizabeth ... yes, Ray would make quite a star ... he looks really cool in sunglasses!

Alan, thanks for the blurb. We can use it for Ray's movie posters!

Hi, Sherry! Believe me, you're NOT pestering me ... I LOVE answering art questions! My acrylics are Old Holland New Masters Acrylics and my oils are Old Holland Classic Oil Colors.
